A little late getting this post up but i wanted to see how things played out. The police forces of London have had their work cut out for them as they have been battling a slew of rioters and looters since Saturday night on August the 7th. Violence has been ripping through the nation and spreading like wildfire, causing entire buildings to go up in flames and embroiling the locals with the audacity to commit crime in broad daylight. The scope of the riots is unbelievable and the stories that are emerging are equally shocking. The following is a link that includes a timeline of events and footage from locations such as Tottenham, Enfield Hackney and Croydon where the riots have been particularly powerful. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14436499
I was in London only a month ago and the transformation of the marvellous city is a little hard to believe and I am having a difficult time reconciling the two descriptions of London in my head. I have also posted a few of the MANY photos that have captured acts of violence and destruction and which depict the efforts of the police to combat the escalating crime.
