"I Hate people who always have points to make. I just want to break off all their points and stab them with them"
Tuesday night saw one half of the Black Books duo gracing Brisbane's QPAC stage as Dylan Moran performed his stand-up live before Brisbane audiences. Finding hilarity in issues from the London riots to the Queensland floods, no topic was too controversial to poke fun at. Moran enjoyed commenting on attributes of the Australian lifestyle and seemed particularly amused by our version of winter, drawing elaborate comparisons with England and Ireland. Armed with a glass of wine and a block of chocolate, Moran could make the simple act of eating hilarious as he effortlessly navigated his way through familial issues to current affairs and future concerns. With a parting line of "like two elephants fucking in a packet of crisps"his home-made analogies made the show, as incessant rambling has never been this entertaining (I could give you the context...but where would the fun be in that).
