My name is Jessica and I am a 3rd year student at UQ completing two majors in English and Ancient History/History. I love theatre and art culture and have recently toured several countries in Europe where I fell in love with the Louvre in Paris and marveled at the range and frequency of shows available at West End in London. I am an avid reader and am fortunate enough to have a job at one of the few surviving Angus & Robertson bookstores (praise the franchise!). I am taking JOUR1111 this semester in order to test the waters and determine whether to pursue a post-graduate degree in the field next year. I am an excellent researcher and I love to write, both creatively and factually, although I am concerned about the availability of jobs in journalism once I eventually graduate. I would like travel throughout my career and so far I am leaning towards the Features department, although I am open to anything that sparks my interest.
